In these uncertain times, we want to remind our extended family of friends, partners and clients that this is the time to plant seeds of hope, faith and love.
As every gardener knows, it is the seedlings that germinate in the rich dark soil of winter’s trials that produce the first beautiful blooms of spring.
In this season of the longest nights, we pause to reflect on the many things we are grateful for as this extraordinary tumultuous year comes to a close and declare our hopes for the coming new year.
We are most grateful to still be here, thriving during this year of WORLD’s 25th Anniversary, secure in the knowledge that even in the darkest moments before the dawn, we know morning will surely come. And with it new opportunities to harvest peace, justice and community engagement.
WORLD remains committed to the continued delivery of services, advocacy and the support of individual empowerment for the most marginalized and ostracized women in our community vulnerable to and living with HIV.
In 2017 we will continue our bold anti-stigma “Rise Above HIV” campaign and launch our new “Hold the Line” initiative to ensure that hard won victories and advancements for women and people living with HIV/AIDS are not lost.
Yes, WORLD is still here. And as long as we are, our motto “You Are Not Alone” remains as a beacon of light to every woman needing a safe and welcoming space to heal.
