Thank You To Everyone Who Attended and Contributed to our “Rise Above” Event!
What a beautiful and moving event! In honor of National Women & Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day and International Women’s Day, WORLD and AHF launched our national campaign, RISE Above, with a bang! With the support of R&B Sensation Goapele, Grammy nominated artist Raheem DeVaughn, WORLD’s Poet Laureate Roxanne Hanna-Ware, and hundreds of local women, we gathered at the Scottish Rite Center in Oakland to celebrate and have meaningful dialogue about sexual health, wellness and healthy relationships. We had tons of fun! We greatly appreciate everyone who supported and attended the event; We could not have done it without you.
