The Numbers Don’t Show the Whole Picture

“The Black Women’s Health Report with Eleanor Hinton Hoytt” on BlogTalkRadio — listed below:

The HIV/AIDS statistics among Black women are alarming! But, they don’t convey why Black women are being infected with HIV at a rate higher than any other group or why Black women are being silent about the HIV epidemic in our community.

Listen as two well-known authorities on HIV/AIDS, Gail Wyatt, author of Stolen Women, clinical psychologist, sex therapist, professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA and associate director of the UCLA AIDS Institute, and Ravinia Hayes-Cozier, policy co-chair for the National Black Women AIDS Network, discuss why Black women are the face of HIV/AIDS in this country.

Our guests will join Eleanor Hinton Hoytt, host of the BlogTalkRadio show, “The Black Women’s Health Report,” to help us understand why Black women are continuing to be infected, why we are afraid of discussing one of the biggest health crises in our nation’s history and why too many of us don’t know our status.

This timely discussion is in observance of National HIV Testing Day on Sunday, June 27. It’s time for us to end our silence and start the conversation!
