Among its various provisions, the resolution recommends that the U.S. National HIV/AIDS Strategy Implementation Plan be updated to include specific provisions, goals, and metrics to measure progress for women living with and affected by HIV. Through the Resolution, PACHA calls on the Secretary of Health and Human Services to request all relevant federal agencies, the newly created White House Working Group on the Intersection of HIV/AIDS, Violence Against Women and Girls and Gender-Related Health Disparities, along with the White House Office of National AIDS Policy (ONAP) and the HHS Office of HIV/AIDS and Infectious Disease Policy to update the National HIV/AIDS Strategy and its implementation plan accordingly.
