Women Organized to Respond to Life-threatening Diseases (WORLD) is pleased to extend this special invitation to you for our 25th Anniversary Celebration in the heart of Oakland on November 17, 2016.
Our theme, “Still We Rise: Celebrating 25 Years of Positive Action“, highlights 25 years of peer-based services, advocacy, and support for HIV-positive women and their families. Since its inception in 1991, WORLD is proud to have served thousands of women living with HIV and their loved ones. We have supported HIV-positive women at times when the only thing that could help is the voice of another HIV-positive woman reaching out to the quote and WORLD motto:
“You are not alone.”
Together on November 17, we will recommit ourselves to this life-saving work in support of positive women, and we will celebrate our remarkable history of critical services, education, and advocacy as we hear personal testimonials that will keep you engaged and eager to continue your support for this important work.
